I think the reason stoic gets mad at hiccup for not killing dragons is because his mom wouldn't kill a dragon either and because of that hiccup's mom got taken away by dragons and stoic doesn't want that to happen to hiccup.

I wish there will be a how to train your dragon 4, but there won't be because how to train your dragon the nine realms is the most recent how to train your dragon project and it takes place way after there were vikings so it's basically present day so hiccup is dead and toothless
