if you like this movie watch "the pacific" series. ten episodes. it's the best of the best as far as the war genre goes.

I was raised a navy brat. my father was chief medical officer in mash unit. this movie also shows what wives went through. my mother kept the family running perfect AND also sent love and support to my father in da'nang. I remember how tough it was on her with 3 girls.
